JuNe JoYs!

Ok, so it has been quite a while since I last wrote. My plan is to write every month or so...

We are certainly excited about our garden this time of year. While it is still not all planted, we are getting there. The rainy weather has arrived, and since planting in mud is not ideal we are giving that aspect a break.

However it is prime time for pulling weeds. So that is the plan until the ground becomes dry enough. Sometimes that apply's to things in our lives as well. We are now living the simple uncomplicated life that can go any direction at any moment.

That is a gift unto it self. I am sure that those with more complicated lives are living them and loving them. We may miss that again in time. But for now, I think we are going to jump back in to the regular routine of life. Doing the things that need to be done. Focusing on the gifts we each have and making our lives even richer.

The garden really plays into that. There is something about watching the plants and flowers grow that makes you feel the abundance of God's grace. We sure enjoy that feeling.

Jason is busy with all of the everyday things like going to work, and picking up extra jobs here and there. I am keeping things running around the house. Never thought that I would ever be focused on the domestic side of life, the simplicity of it suits me lately. I am so thrilled by seeing the dishes done, or the laundry folded and put away it brings me a sense of fullfillment.

I was sharing with someone's grandmother the other day, while we were over for a visit, and she had cooked us her hommade potato soup for us to eat, that it was nice to be able to do things for others. I remember my grandmothers both working their fingers to the bone never looking for anything in return. They would do this just so everyone around them would know that they were loved. My mother struggled with this, she would talk about it some with me.

I never got it until the last few years myself. Now I am able to find emmence gratification and satisfaction in doing the dishes, or forlding the laundry. Just as I was able to do the dishes by hand for the grandmother we were visiting. She fussed abit, until I told her in her ear, that I know how she could do all of this for others, as I would see her do, and that I was also giving her this gift. It was my pleasure to do this, that I cared about her, and this gave me joy to do this for her.

She let me finish the dishes with out complaint. She understood.

I guess that is the feeling that both of us have been going through our lives with lately. I hope it continues. We can be emensly happy with the attitude of gratitude.

We are headed out for a summer of adventure! We sure hope to see you while we are out and about experiencing life! Come eat with us, we will have plenty of vegies!!

Blessings to you all!
